In the
neighborhood I am so lucky to live in this little big town. There is so much going on and a kid like me
will never get bored. I find the lifestyle
here is very pleasant especially for my parents. As a blooming teenager, I find the freedom
that my parents entrusted me and with responsibility, I took advantage of
it! I can roam around places here
worry free...less stressful! Who needs to think the negative energy when we
have to enjoy discovering great new things in life! Our place is really special abound with the nature's beauty. There's the famous lake to enjoy and just a train away are the mountains to satisfy my snow craving fun for winter. The nearby mountains are great for hiking and during the summer time, you will just knock your ears out for the concert galore you will find. Our famous Montreux Jazz festival and the Paleo is one to mention. Don't miss out the vineyards tour and tourist sites. I can't get enough of all the good things you will find here. Ah, and I forgot to mention, chocolates and cheese---wine? (I have to
wait when I am older with this one). We never run out of things to do, be it summer, fall, winter or spring, my family loves to travel the region and once in a while, we go visit beyond the Swiss borders. They are in fact still our neighbors.
What a joy it is to live nearby Love you all! Christina |

Vevey (vəvā')

of the same name. It is bordered on the west
by the River Veveyse and to the east by the

world headquarters (but not fiscal HQ) of the food giant Nestle,
founded here in 1867. Some of the notable people

The Confrerie des
Vignerons (Brotherhood of Winegrowers) organises the Winegrowers Festival (Fete des Vignerons) four or five times each
century (one per generation) to celebrate its wine-growing traditions and
culture. On those occasions an arena for 16,000 spectators is built in the
marketplace, the Grande Place, which is the second-biggest marketplace in Europe,
after Lisbon,
Portugal). The festivals date from
the 18th
century; the last five were in 1905,
1927,
1955,
1977
and 1999. -Thanks to Wikepedia for the information- |
